I've frequently visited this park the last 20 years and had no idea there was an unmarked fisherman trail that follows the main river for a couple miles. Met a local guy on the trail that let me know about another spot farther down the river. I stopped to check it out bit it's a little swampy atm. I'll have to come back when it dries out a bit. Been raining a lot.

Drove 2 hours to pick this up last summer. Finding a small frame Surly anything is difficult it seems. It came with 27.5" Velocity Duallys, Alpine dynamo hub, rack, lights. Had some skinny 2" Donnelly tires. I tried the 3" wide Oxbows for a bit but found them a bit over kill (I thought maybe I'd find more trails to use them on but I have to travel an hour). I've really been liking the Schwalbe G-One Allround 2.8s. 10 speed Deore 38/26 drivetrain. I swapped the granny 26 to a 22. Plenty of range now.

Threw on some SKS bluemel 75 U fenders. Ditched the Jones for a Velo Orange klunker. Swapped to Klite adventure light. I tried a front rack and basket for a bit but found it extremely difficult to fit into my vehicle so I'm using the rear rack to mount a basket for when I need to carry more.

The original color was this poop brown/green color. It didn't grow on me. Had it powder coated over winter. Now it's pretty similar to the Bridge Club green. The guy did a great job.

It's very upright and comfortable (bb drop is 80mm). I've considered moving up to 29" someday because the pedals are quite low but I mostly ride paved, hardpack, gravel trails so I'm not too worried. With the Klunkers I feel like I'm riding a big BMX bike. I don't think I'll ever sell it. Rides amazing.

Shared this awhile back. Just about finished with it. I'm gonna try out the Rene Herse RTPs. Ordered the standard casing. Bought some Panaracer Pasela's first to see how I liked them.

Cleaned the drivetrain and hubs, regreased the hubs and the freewheel and added new bearings. The bottom bracket and headset felt good and didn't want to mess with them. It appears to have been maintenanced at some point recently. Kool stop salmon pads are working great. Velo Orange Tourist bars. Brooks saddle. Acorn bags.

It's a super comfy ride. I'm gonna try to find a silver rear rack that goes along with it better.
