LV seems intent on making me lust after bags that never come out in my region. First the nano Diane in denim, now the Cookie BB in light bliss 😩
First things first, tax refund in the city is 12% and 18% in the airport. For that reason, the LV store in FCO would be my first choice. No need to claim the tax back, it’s already discounted.
Ironically this was the one I didn’t visit as I got side tracked in Hermes duty free. But I will be back, as when in the Rinascente store, the CA told me a bag I was eyeing was also available in the airport and that he could hold it for me if I wanted to get it cheaper.
Second choice is a bit harder.
For wow factor, I’d choose the Etoile store. It’s very unassuming from the outside, but as soon as you walk in you can tell why it’s the flagship. Items spread across 3 floors and a mini cinema showcasing LV. Even if you’re not buying anything, I would just go for the sake of it.
For ease, I’d choose the store in Rinascente. They have their own tax refund office on the bottom floor and you can avoid queues at the airport.
And lastly the Via Condotti store near the Spanish Steps. The only store with a queue the day I was there, due to its size. It’s not really made for browsing as when you enter you’re assigned to a CA and if there aren’t any available you have to wait outside. Unless you really didn’t want to walk anymore or that was the only store with your item, I would go to the other two that ware barely a 10 minute walk away.
