So I am thinking about opening up a capital one checking account one for the $400 bonus and two I am planning on opening an hysa/savings account with them and it’ll be more simpler to just transfer from their checking account to the savings account.

However, I have a discover checking account and since they are merging soon ( I believe in July) Discover accounts will become Capital One accounts.

My question is if I open a capital one account what would happen to my discover account once it becomes a capital one account? Will I just have 2 accounts then?

Is there certain third party websites such as booking.com and Priceline that Capital One price matches? I’ve been seeing that certain websites Capital One doesn’t “approve of” and if you use that website they won’t price match it.

I wanted to know since I have been looking at these specific sites to see if it’s cheaper than the portal. And if I book it I would want to get credit back for that travel purchase.
