Ditch Lights Mounted

Finally have the Diode Dynamics (DD) SS3 pods mount on the DD ditch light mounts. Built the harness and routed the wiring. Super happy with the results and thrilled to begin the next lighting upgrade.

Currently have the OE Tacoma trifold on my 3rd Gen and despise it with a passion for the inconvenience of removal, lack of weather resistance, and lack of a dedicated lock.

I have firsthand experience with a hardcover, hard trifold, and soft roll up. Living in Missouri, we have all extremes of weather, traveling frequently on gravel is leading to tailgate seal and some other ideas.

Being a double cab 6ft 2in bed, I love the idea of having access to a lot in a short time.

Was hoping for anyone that may have experience with both to give insights on their preferences and why.

Price wise, I know they're expensive, but for security, capability, and overall piece of mind, I am willing to cry once.

TIA

Finally got the D Switch installed in the 5th Gen!

Bulletpoint Mounting Solutions 4 hole AMP mounting plate base, D Switch panel mount, and 1cm mounting arm. Bolted into the a pillar, low enough to not impede the air bag.

Great solution if you're questioning where to put it.

Wiring run from behind the a pillar with an oval hole drilled into it, then through the driver's side firewall with the wiring harness grommet that is already there. Running through the grommet took a lot longer than expected due to sizing issues with the initial hole cut into it.

Still need to wire up the lighting, but the hard part has been completed!
