Warning about cork logs

Hey everyone I just wanted to come on here and warn people about cork logs, specifically the zoo med rounds. Some of them have cracks in them that NEED to be filled. I found this out the hard way last night. My baby boy Bratwurst got his leg stuck in a crack, and nearly chewed it off trying to escape. His leg was mangled, and I made the difficult decision to put him to sleep. He was an old guy, (around 2), but he still had life in him that was cut short. Please dont make the same mistakes that I did, and make sure everything in your babies cage is safe, as they dont know any better. There is a hamster sized hole in my heart.

Cage advice and decor!

I just upgraded my girl from the 2.0 to the 3.0 as she was exhibiting stress behaviors, and her now cage looks a little too bare, but i am very uninspired. What would you guys add to this? 1yo female syrian with an extra pic of the lady as a tax
