Pretty much the title.
- First image is where my desk is currently
2,3) my previous set up which was my favorite (I put bookcases in another room but they’re full now…)
4,5) where my couch is. This is an ikea morabo couch so I’m thinking of splitting the loveseat and chase and keeping on or the other and storing the one I don’t choose. But I might get a comfier reading chair, who knows.
6,7) this layout is what I had previously in the corner, but just will billy bookcases and a loveseat/no couch. And more behind my desk. I like this option because I get to see my books next to my desk again. Image 7 has space on the side as I have a mini fridge there I initially forgot in design 6
8,9) flipping the side my desk is on but I hesitate because I only have one outlet on this wall where the desk would go. I also like this because I’ve been thinking instead of the billy in the corner next to my desk, I might put another desk next to it to create a L-shaped desk. But regardless, I like the desk in the middle of the room, I’ve never tried it. It also plays with the idea of either the loveseat or a new reading chair (it wouldn’t be the one pictured, but same color and similar size)
10,11) these are the photos of the bookcases I’m thinking of, but I just can’t decide. I love a mix of woods, my desk is lighter. I have a MCM dark bookcase in there and three different colored shelves as it is. But I can’t get over how the doors for the walnut look or its grain, it looks so off in person.
12,13,14,15) picture of the walnut doors/grain. They just look off to me. I also took a photo of all the colors together. I think the oak looks better with the black and I already have multiple black bookcases with oak backing in my bedroom which is photo 15. It sounds like I’m set on the oak, but I would normally lean walnut and did initially online.
I just can’t decide!
