hey! I'm an incoming freshmen at UW and was looking at the dorm options. I definitely want to be in West Campus and would like a dorm with multiple kitchens, so either Maple, Terry or Lander. I also want a double w/ a private bathroom.
Can anyone give me more information on specific differences between these halls so me and my roomate can make a decision?
I was looking online at the UW site as well as the rate-my-dorms and they all seem pretty similar. I did hear that Lander was darker than the other halls, but wanted to confirm whether that was true as well, since we wanted a dorm w/ more natural light.
Also, I heard Maple's higher floors were reserved for engineering majors, but I'm not sure how true that is. If we are non-engineering majors, how competitive would this make the dorm selection for us? Also, since we want more natural light, would being at a lower floor hinder this?
