Am I expecting too much or is there a problem with my vacuum?
Bought my new vacuum last week to replace an old roomba. I am very disappointed with the vacuuming. We have 2 cats and a dog and just standard medium pile carpet. The vacuum just rolls over almost all of the hair that is just laying on top of the carpet. I have been down on my knees watching what it picks up and doesn’t and it leaves behind more than it picks up. I have it on the max setting and yes, I did a solid vacuum with my upright to give it a fresh start a couple days ago but even though it’s been vacuuming each day since, the hair coverage is growing.
Today I tried the max+ setting in a small zone in the middle of the living room. No improvement. I cleaned the filter, ran it again. No improvement.
For $800 I expect it to at least pick up the hair that’s just been shed and not ground into the carpet.
