I've been researching and testing AI-powered auto-application tools to see which ones actually deliver on their promises. If you're job hunting in 2026 and wondering whether these tools are worth your time (or money), here's a breakdown of the top options based on my experience.

I'll be breaking down pricing and key findings from my job search, ranking them from most to least effective.

1. Fapply

This one is basic but functional. It does the job reliably with no limit on applications. It occasionally makes mistakes, so I recommend monitoring it and pausing to correct errors when needed. I was able to secure 5 interviews and 3 online assessments through it (after applying to a large volume of jobs). It also provides AI autofill, which proved useful. There's no blackbox, which was important to me because I wanted visibility into what was being sent out. It sometimes fails to apply to roughly 10% of jobs, but you can reapply to those.

  • Monthly: $24.99
  • Yearly: $120
  • App Limit: Unlimited (I tested with 1000+ in one month)

2. Massive

I should note my friend used this 1.5 years ago, so my information may be dated. The main drawback is the blackbox approach it also uses a different email than your own. The jobs applied to were less relevant and didn't yield useful results in that experience.

  • Monthly: ~$50
  • Yearly: ~$600–$708
  • App Limit: 150/month (Pro) or 600/month (Ultra)

3. LazyApply

The second auto-applier I ever tried. The price point feels high for the functionality offered but I like that it is a lifetime subscription. There's no blackbox, and you can apply to jobs within a job board, but the application limit and cost made it less practical for my needs. Manual application proved more accurate and efficient in comparison.

  • Monthly: No monthly option
  • Yearly: $99
  • App Limit: 15/day

4. Sonara

Relatively inexpensive. I found the job applications relevant at least from my experience. Extremely limited application volume you are limited to about 2 per day for the basic plan. They state that cover letters are written using AI, but you never see what has been written or how questions have been answered.

  • Monthly: ~$26
  • Yearly: ~$312
  • App Limit: 2 per day

5. AIApply (with 100 credits)

The main concern here is cost. It has a similar blackbox issue where you don't see what it filled out, and it applies through a different email. The HR follow-up emails were a useful feature. However, it operates on credits, forcing you to choose between HR follow-ups or applications with only about 100 credits available. For high-volume job searching, this works out to almost a dollar per application. It has the most features and an elaborate dashboard for tracking, but the volume limitations and price is just too steep.

  • Monthly: ~$68
  • Yearly: ~$816
  • App Limit: 100/month
