Hi there,

Want to keep this simple to the point. My dad passed away middle of April. Asked for time off, from obligations, from Workforce, and she was nice and obliged. Time off is until end of this week (middle of May)

My mom still not good, I am so-so and need to organise soon a 40 day special occasion for my dad (very important in my religion). Have to organise, church, people, catering, and so on.

So i do need some more time off. I read online that they can give up to 8 weeks off. Should i ask for more time off and she what she says?

Or if she says no, can i get a medical certificate for this occasion?

Anyone that has dealt with this in the past, let me know.
