Borrowed a friend's Vita to finally play Golden Abyss and finish the series completely.
At the very end of the game in the final cut scene >!Sully naturally shows up to save the save the day!<. As Nathan is overcome with relief and the player has the satisfaction of reaching safety and the conclusion of the story and exclaims the arrival of his friend and mentor, the female companion of the game just goes... >!"Who's Sully?"!<.
It completely cracked me up. They went the entire game without ever interacting and I absolutely didn't notice (I know that's the point but I can be impressively dense about these things), but having Sully become so iconic and all the relationships developed throughout the other titles made it even more ludicrous and funny, like what do you mean? Everyone knows him.
