Does Uncharted Teach Good Lesson?

And I mean like when you write a story, or create anything you always put a piece of yourself into what you create, so at some point when franchise concludes with Thief's End there is certainly some sort of life lesson you take from it one way or another.

For example working with a hand you're dealt in life, knowing when to stop with unhealthy obsessions that might seem harmless.

Which games made it more relevant for you?

Anyone else find this franchise therapeutic?

I bought a ps4 pro last summer. Played uncharted 4 for the first time and before that I had played lost legacy at a friend's house

Now I'm replaying the trilogy for the first time on ps4. I've been feeling very depressed lately and these games are one of the few things lately that give me inner peace

I've been playing the chapters of the 3 games in random order (I'm well familiar with the story)

I love to play in crushing it's difficult but usually fair (don't think I have the courage to try brutal)

What do you think is Nate’s luckiest moment in the series?

I mean situations where it isn’t wit or someone helping him.. where his survival is completely blind luck.. my pick is this one

What Are Things Uncharted 1 Did Better Than Uncharted 2?

Uncharted 2 is widely considered to be better than Uncharted 1 in pretty much every way by critics and audiences. So, I want to ask if there are aspects Uncharted 1 had done better than its sequel.

UNCHARTED HARDEST MOMENTS

Here’s my personal list of the hardest encounters across the Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy series:

MY HARDEST MOMENTS LIST:

- U1 – Blue Room (Chapter 5) (Brutal)

- LL – Helicopter (Chapter 8) (Crushing)

- U1 – Navarro fight (Chapter 22) (Brutal)

- U3 – Super Tank (Chapter 14) (Brutal)

- U4 – Wooden Elevator (Chapter 17) (Crushing)

- U2 – Tenzin’s Village (Chapter 20) (Brutal)

- U3 – Charlie’s Rescue (Chapter 8) (Brutal)

- U2 – Train (Chapters 12–15) (Brutal)

- U4 – Ship Graveyard (Chapter 20) (Crushing)

- U3 – Djinns (Chapter 21) (Brutal)

- U4 – Avery’s House (Chapter 18) (Crushing)

- LL – Armored Truck (Chapter 6) (Crushing)

For me, the Blue Room in U1 was absolutely disgusting from a gameplay perspective. The mechanics just don’t hold up there — enemies flanking from all directions at once, bullet sponge dodge enemies, and on top of that I went into the encounter with basically no grenades. It felt more like fighting the system than the enemies.

The helicopter fight in Lost Legacy and the wooden elevator in U4 were on another level entirely. Those encounters felt so insanely difficult on Crushing that honestly, if there were a Brutal difficulty added in a remaster for U4 or Lost Legacy, I think those sections would be borderline impossible (Bluepoint don't even think about it).

Curious what your lists look like. What sections gave you the most trouble?

I Can't download/find Uncharted

I haven't play it for years but when I was about to download it, ir doesn't appear in my library. Neither when I search it at the PS store. It only appears to buy it again, I still have the trophys. I already turn my PS4 on and off but I don't see it.

New info regarding Amy Hennig's Uncharted 4

In this recent interview (at 9:43), an ex-Naughty Dog dev strongly hints that Amy Hennig’s Uncharted 4 was a mess and way below all expectations. The team that made it reportedly refused to give negative feedback due to her status and the success of Uncharted 1-3.

He also hints that the only ones who stepped up to speak the truth against Amy and the game were other directors at Naughty Dog (Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley?). However, her team ignored all that feedback as well and passed it on to Sony leadership regardless, who also said it was bad and even threatened to cancel the project.

Is this a reference / easter egg to the anime/manga One Piece? Uncharted 4 Chapter 16

I’ve played this game like 4 times and wanted to have my friend whose new to gaming play one of the best of all times, well my other friend recently introduced me to One Piece so on this play through this hat jumped out to me!! In chapter 16 of Uncharted 4 in the flash back where we see Sam and Nate go to recover their moms stuff in that old woman’s house and Sam picks up this hat and puts it on for a while.. I’ve done some googling and I know that in Japan the game was released as “Uncharted: the Pirate King and the Last Treasure” and so lots of people wondered if there was an association but from what I can tell there was none- but this is totally Luffy’s hat right…? Maybe one of the artists/developers wanted to include a little nod? Wondering if anyone else has seen and made this connection or if it’s just coincidence..?
