I [18M] am graduation high school in a week, and I’ve been talking to this girl [17F] who’s currently a junior about to become a senior. Things have been going pretty well, and she already asked me to be her homecoming date next year, and I said yes.

If our relationship is still going strong by the time prom comes around next year, should I be the one to ask her to prom even though I won’t be in high school anymore? Or should I wait and let her ask me since it’s her prom? This is also my first real relationship so I’m still figuring out some of the unwritten rules with stuff like this. Any type of advice will help. Thank you.
