This is about my colleague. He's probably neurodivergent (idk if he's officially diagnosed, probably not though), in the sense that he's super observant of anyone's movements around the office. Eg:
I would stand up from my desk to stretch my legs, and he would spin his head around to stare at me for the whole duration that I'm stretching. Like honestly what's so good to stare 😭
People would close their doors when taking calls, and this guy would comment something like "erm, someone's busy 🤓" and look around the office to see if anyone was listening to him.
He would come back from the toilet and announce something like "Note to self, there is a non-flusher in the building 🤓" and then see if anyone is listening to him.
He has a bunch of other weird quirks that make working with him more troublesome. Asking him a question is like taking a gamble. Idk if he'll nicely answer me or get super frustrated with me. He has a habit of physically smacking his forehead when he gets mad at questions.
He also kinda fits that "gifted but lost his way somewhere" profile. He was in GEP in Primary School, but screwed up his poly GPA so badly (he's like in limbo rn, with nowhere to go and no Uni acceptances). I think NS genuinely gave him a sense of purpose for once in his life (as an ASA Spec), coz he talks about it so fondly. But ask him what he did outside of NS during weekends and he'll have nothing to say 😭. Brother didn't even get an online course cert or something.
He's very quick to insult people behind their back. Eg: He served his NS in School V, and he's very eager to talk about how rowdy and "mental" some of the people there were like. Like damn bro 💀 it takes one to know one.
Have y'all ever met anyone like this before?
