My top set of teeth mainly the big ones and the ones right next to it have been hurting and are extremely sensitive. Is this because of gum disease or is it like a infection based off your guesses

Okay so basically a little over a week ago my central incisor (the top one on right side) started having why I believe was a toothache (happened till just today) and the pain was throbbing until today where it mainly hurts to touch (and the teeth it’s close too) just seeing if anyone could estimate if this is dental emergency or not because I’m 16 and I don’t want my parents to pay a big fine if I can live with it
