I've been reading up on the Alchemist's Bomb class feature and I'm unsure how much damage I should do to a target on a hit.

Throwing an Alchemist bomb uses the Throw Splash Weapon rules found here: https://aonprd.com/Rules.aspx?ID=197

Specifically, I am curious about this wording: "A hit deals direct hit damage to the target and splash damage to all creatures within 5 feet of the target." Does "all creatures within 5 feet of the target" include the target itself?

Does this mean that hitting a target with a bomb causes it to take Direct Hit damage AND Splash damage? Or should they just take Direct Hit damage?
