32 M non smoker, I have had this white spot for probably around 2 years in the area in the back of my mouth across from second molar on the soft part of my cheek. I may have even had it longer but did not notice it as it causes no pain or discomfort and feels the same as the surrounding tissue.
I yesterday had an oral surgeon do an excisional biopsy it as she just said it would be peace of mind but I am just looking for some reassurance as I wait for the pathology report to return. It was maybe 2-3 mm across and stayed consistent in shape and color, but naturally I have one anxiety and would appreciate some thoughts. The tissue did not feel raised or rough, but the appearance is the only different thing. If it helps at all I have had a history of canker sores and the oral surgeon felt maybe this is leftover healing tissue from one that hasn’t healed, but wanted pathology to confirm. Thank you!
