I see a lot of talk recently on ETF's and why people should buy with their diversification across many markets and different sectors. Is there anything wrong with LIC's at all?

I am looking at LIC's (MFF, RG8, BKI) and a shorting fund (LSF) to buy as part of my portfolio.

What's the major difference and why go for ETF'd over LIC's or vice versa?
