the final battle / peptide experiment
I’m back for round 3 - the final battle of the Green Dragon (the saga ends with me slaying the dragon once and for all)
First round I did cold turkey and stayed away for 6 months
Second - long, slow successful taper, stayed off for a year and a half - felt really good
I picked up again back in January and I’m ready to be off for good
I wasn’t having any real consequences or side effects at only 25 grams this time. Heck, I’ve enjoyed all the things I missed about Kratom - but I don’t want to live like a slave - I love my freedom and I won’t trade it for a buzz - I will no longer chase the Green Dragon
I started a taper on Monday - grabbed a couple massive capsule bags of the same strain to keep it consistent
I immediately jumped from 25 to 18 grams across 5 doses - no problems so far, feeling great on day 3
I plan to make another cut tomorrow down to 15
From there I will intuitively taper - likely cutting 1-2 grams a week - going as slow as I need to - with the intention of preserving sleep / staying in the game at work / showing up for my family / staying in shape
I have a demanding career - several kids - and a lot of responsibilities. Being completely down and out for a quit or a taper just isn’t an option
I’m not suggesting anyone do this and this is not medical advice - but I am running a cycle of peptides to see if it will help my energy levels and heal my body / gut more quickly
I’ve never used Peptides for a quit before - but I have had success with them in general
I’m running:
BPC-157: Hoping it helps reduce the body aches, inflammation, gut issues, and overall physical stress, while supporting recovery and sleep quality
GHK-Cu: Using it mainly for its potential anti-inflammatory and nervous-system support effects, with the goal of improving recovery, skin quality, sleep, and overall resilience during the taper process
KPV: Interested in KPV for its potential gut-calming and immune-modulating effects, especially to help with stomach irritation, inflammation, and appetite issues while tapering
CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin: Adding CJC/IPA to support deeper sleep, recovery, mood, and energy during the taper, while hopefully helping offset the fatigue and poor recovery that can come with a taper
Tapering is the best way to do this in my opinion. Cold Turkey felt like a catastrophic plane crash - where tapering was more like Sully Sullenberger doing a calculated emergency landing in the Hudson.
On top of the Peptides - I’ll prioritize:
-Nutrition
-Hydration
-Vitamins
-Walks in the sun
-Lifting Weights / Running
-Sauna
-Cold Showers
-Gratitude / Positive thinking
-Reading
-Stretching
-Prayer
-Breathwork
Until next time friends
Make the next right decision and I’ll see you on the other side
