Suggestions that check these boxes?
I wear a Garmin as I like wearing one device and having a watch. That being said, I am not a runner and actually want something more for wellness and recovery. I feel like my Garmin tracks my vitals well - HRV, RHR, Vo2, respiration, temp, etc.
Garmin Connect+ is pretty weak for AI data interpretation, so I have been messing with Bevel and Sonar Health for data interpretation. My ideal wearable would do the following:
- Track sleep well - my Garmin vitals seem accurate, but my sleep score and body battery don't seem trustworthy. I know consensus is other brands track sleep better.
- Vibrating smart alarm - my Garmin has a smart wake, but it only vibrates when I roll over and doesn't seem to be based off my sleep stage.
- Strong lifestyle logging with actionable feedback - I can track things in Garmin, but I want feedback on how my workouts are helping/hurting my sleep and recovery. I only have time to work out in the evenings and wan to find the sweet spot for doing enough but not too much. I also would like to look more at the impact of what I eat and when I eat it.
- Anything that helps decide on load/exertion for strength training vs only focusing on running stats.
The Helio strap I've tried seems to read just like my Garmin - no reason to wear both. I don't like the Zepp app and the feedback offered is very limited. I thought I wanted a Whoop, but the subscription model is a no. It sounds like paying $100 a year for Bevel might make my Garmin easier to use for this purpose, but the Fit Bit air is $99 and has three months of premium, which might give me the insights I need? The con there is I would be wearing a watch and a band (but the band looks to be way smaller than a Whoop or Helio strap). Maybe wearing a Fit Bit air on my right wrist would look more like a small bracelet anyways?
Thanks!
