Any suggestions from instinct users?
Digging the Crossover
Just got this after 2.5 years owning a 2X Solar whose battery pooped out. Didn’t like the red trim on the Instinct 3 and had been happy with the functionality of the 2X, but wanted something that felt like an upgrade. Garmin gave me a credit toward a new one even though it was out of warranty. Pretty happy with it.
Instinct 2S (40mm) vs Instinct 3 (45mm) on small wrist (130mm)
Left side is Instinct 3 solar (45mm), and right side is Instinct 2S standard (40mm)
Hope it helps for people who have super small wrist (~130mm) like me. The battery of my old 2S is dying, and I was torned between buying a 2S again or upgrade to 3. (I don't want an Instinct E..)
Finally decided on upgrading to 3, and I I'd say 2S fits better and feels more comfortable, but 3 seems totally doable too! I had to adjust the watch band buckle to the 4th/5th hole, but it works!
I think I will keep the 3 as the battery is amazing and it has some great new features! However, I wish Garmin can have a 3s version one day for females 🥹
I3 Solar issue after 14.14 update
Has anyone noticed a huge lag between pressing a button and open the menu after last update?
I bought my son an Instinct 2x Tactical
I bought it for his basic training grad. I think its suits him
Instinct 3 solar vs AMOLED. The orange accent is hard to get past
Title says most of it. I prefer the MIP display but the orange accent onto the Instinct 3 solar is painful to get around. Stands out quite a bit and I prefer something that doesn’t attract attention since I will wear it in business casual settings. Maybe the orange accent is overstated in pictures?
Got this a few months ago, already looking forward to buy I2x solar for more casual outfits and daily use. Is there any value buying the i3 solar instead of i2x solar? I do prefer the classic style though.
Should i move out of iOS ?
I have a 13 mini and I love the phone however I also love my Garmin instinct 2 and I hate how the notifications especially calls and stuff aren't very consistent when connected to an iPhone and i'm assuming it's seamless on an android. The Weather doesn't show up unless i open the app and sync it, the find my phone won't work as well unless i run the app. App background refresh is on as well. This just screws up the watch phone experience. I had an apple watch SE and seamlessly everything would work fine.
Am i doing something wrong or should i just switch over to a pixel or something.
Garmin Instinct 3 Solar (45mm) sunburst
In case someone is interested in the sunburst yellow option, here’s what it looks like. I’ve searched this model online, but didn’t found anyone wearing it. Hope it helps!
Solid watch!
Its still very good but why 14 days ? Pulse ox is on manual check only.
Way more comfortable with the I3 tactical 45mm. 50mm was just too much.
Instinct 3 Amoled or MIP Solar
Simple question.. im torn between these 2.
Which one should i go for?
Amoled 50, or Solar MIP 50?
Like to hear everyones personal experiences. Is it worth dropping colour for better battery life etc.
I have a analogue watch and would love to get a digital watch.
45mm Tactical
Best investment ever!! (AU$900) only a slight scratch on the body when I injured myself 10 weeks ago on the job and landed on my arm (left radial head fracture).
After wearing g-shocks, Samsung's I will never go back. So comfy, although may look into a different band.
Still figuring it out but I’m blown away by this watch!
Helix Heritage is built for people who actually like Garmin watches to feel like watches. Every detail is rendered on device, no .png is involved (:
The goal was simple: strip things back to clarity, legibility, and restraint, without losing character.
A big part of the inspiration came from late 90s industrial design, especially the shift you saw in tools like AutoCAD, where interfaces evolved from rigid, sharp geometries into more refined, fluid forms. That transition heavily influenced the way Helix Heritage is drawn.
You’ll notice it in the softened transitions, the balance between straight lines and subtle curvature, and the way elements sit together without feeling mechanical or over-engineered.
What’s inside:
- 27 accent colours, each hand-matched for AMOLED and Solar/MIP displays
- Configurable hands (feat. styles from Modello GMT and Portal Hybrid) with transparency control + independent second hand colour
- Filled or contour hour marks
- Battery arc — hour marks quietly double as a battery indicator
- 2 fully configurable complications
- Larger font option
- Beautiful AOD
- Full MIP support
- Battery efficiency
- and much more
Curious what you think, especially from those who appreciate more data heavy designs. Could this be your date night option? 🧐🤔

Talk me out of upgrading…
I’ve been thinking of upgrading to the instinct 3 solar 45mm. Mostly for the size, I think the smaller watch might be a little bit more comfortable and look a little better. I’ve had the instinct 2X for a couple years and I’ve always wondered if it’s too big or not or if it looks like it fits my arm and wrist size. I do like the better battery life and I like the looks better on the 2X. I also dislike the orange on the instinct 3. What you think? Does the 2x seem to suit my arm just fine and I’m being an idiot? Also, has anyone switched from 2X to the 3 and loved it way more?
The torch.
All im saying is some reviews found the torch to be a gimmick but I find myself using it all the time around the house.
