Outdoors enthusiasts at Drexel?
My child is considering Drexel because of its co-op program. It also checks off many of the other criteria, and after visiting we were pleasantly surprised to see that the campus doesn't feel like it's in the middle of a city while being close enough to enjoy all the good things Philly has to offer. One question we had, mainly because we are from out of state and we're not familiar with the area, is whether there's a community of students who enjoy activity outdoors, and if that's something that could be accessible even for freshman without a car. Whether it's hiking or being out on the water, she would enjoy being able to take in nature and as much as possible. I know not to compare Drexel to other schools with a big green campus away from a big city -- I guess I'm curious if anybody here has felt like they don't have enough access to nature/outdoorsy activities and if that has been thought of as a drawback of being at Drexel.
