“I’m 20 and she’s 22. Six months ago we made out for an entire evening when we barely knew each other. Afterwards she said she wanted to just be friends, which I was okay with at the time. Since then she’s been consistently physical and flirty when we’re drunk. Last Thursday we both took off our clothes down to our underwear, tickled each other flirtatiously and let our bare arms touch throughout the night. Sober, she draws on my arm at school and traces the veins on my hand. Our dynamic is based on playful teasing and sarcastic banter, being mock-mean to each other in a joking way. She once described her type as exactly me but quickly added “not you though.” She used the age gap as an excuse for a long time but recently said age doesn’t matter. When a drunk girl was hitting on me one night she laughed, and imitated it the day after. In group settings she seeks my eye contact but I avoid it deliberately, which she confronted me about, saying things like “you can’t even look at me, you think I’m ugly.” Last night she seemingly wanted me to admit my feelings, I avoided it, she got frustrated, cried and took a taxi home. We’re meeting to talk next week. Am I misreading this or is something there?”
