Face break out due to Plaquenil

Hello,

Ever since I’ve been taking Plaquenil for my autoimmune disease, my face has been breaking out, getting hyperpigmentation and looking more dull overall. I’ve brought it up to my rheumatologist but she said it’s not a common side effect.

Basically, I have been struggling to find products that help my skin improve. I also have sensitive skin and more often than not, new products give me a mild allergic reaction (I have a weird histamine disorder that seems relative to my sjogrens disease but my doctor says that’s also not related). Usually the reactions is face rashes and redness for a week, so you can imagine how difficult it is to find a good product. There isn’t necessarily a rhyme or reason either, I don’t notice a pattern of chemicals the products have.

What worked with my skin prior to the medication was Thayers milky cleanser, palmers oil cleanser, then vanicream moisturizer.

I still use the same cleansers, but now I use Reverse pore clearing serum and Byoma sunscreen face moisturizer.

I would just like to know what products have worked on people with stubborn break outs that were linked to medication or hormones.

Please help :3
