Hello everyone, this is gonna be a long one so buckle up! I 19 (nb) live with my parents my 2 siblings I’ll call M who’s 16 (f) and R 6 (f). Also in the mix is my great aunt from dad’s side who’s been living with us for about 13 years now. If yall look on my account you will find a post about a previous issue. Anywho!
There is many stories to go on about my aunt but I’m going to start off with the big one that has now been brought up once again in conversation between me and my parents. When my great aunt first moved in she was there to help out with me and my sister at the time cause we were 3 and 5-6 at the time. And also knowledge that was with held from us by our parents at the time, my great aunt by her own words had claimed she had brain cancer and it was progressing over time. I would say years later around when I was in the 4th grade she had told me and M out of the blue about this fact and basically claimed she was dying.
Till this day there has never been any evidence proving this fact or even a diagnosis. None once oh ever. Now right now she is in the hospital, has been since this weekend. I was only at the house for a small moment between getting off of work and going to stay at my girlfriend’s( who we’ll call AZ) house to be told she was going to the hospital. As my dad was going to take her to the hospital (note: my great aunt has zero job, no disability, zero benefits and a SERIOUS cigarette addiction that my parents end up paying for) before she could even think about going to the car all I hear from her before i was walking out the door is “hold up I need to grab my cigarettes.”
Now we’re approaching day 3 of her being in the hospital. I have been told two separate things, yesterday when I had gotten home from AZ’s house my mom had gave me the run down on the few things she had heard. Basically from what she had been told is that she had a kidney infection and uti, nothing major. Well later on today while I was work I got a message from my mom apparently my great aunt was saying she now has a growth on/ in her stomach. Now it may sound shitty to not believe this but as of late she has been on thin ice between me and my parents.
She has been on thin ice with us for about 6 months now, cause when she had found out I was with my girlfriend (mtf) she was asking questions that were way over the line and should not be asked to anyone unless medically necessary. Because of this she has treading on a thin line of being out of our house. Anywho back to the story at hand.
My mom had pointed out after she found this information out and informed me that it feels as if history is repeating its self and my great aunt is grasping at straws to have my parents to continue housing her and fueling her addiction. Was talking to a coworker about this as well and she heavily agreed with this. Now reminder on how my great aunt had told me and M at a very young age about her having brain cancer, she wasn’t supposed because of my parents wishes to only tell us when things had worsened. My mom also worries that the same thing will happen to R if she genuinely is just copying past behavior.
This whole situation is just mind boggling to me and AZ as this situation goes on, especially with trying to map out our schedules, because my parents work late nights some week days for my mom’s bakery, and i work late nights as well so trying to have someone watch R is difficult considering M refuses to stay home alone. So at the moment AZ took up her free time when she gets off of work to help out and make sure R’s routine doesn’t change as much without changing our schedules. (R is in fact not bothered by this arrangement and is quite excited at the idea of AZ watching her while I work) So I’m very appreciative of her doing that for my family but also at the same token she gets fresh information as this story progresses.
There is so much more to this story over the past 13 years from her consistent lies, manipulative behavior, the list goes on. But as this story progresses I shall give yall updates if requested and could do other posts about other past events
