I just don’t get it. I guess it’s the difference between one income and two? My water bill without watering the lawn is about $210/quarter now. Just me. No kids. I stopped watering the lawn 2 years ago when the summer quarterly bill got up to $500 (yes, I know. I can go monthly. It’s still $500). My curb and front yard look like sheet right now, as I work to transition to no water landscaping; and I’m sure my neighbors gossip viciously about it. Around me, everyone is gearing up to shower those lawns with water all summer. Me, no way. It’s like throwing money down the sewer.
