"kitchen table issues" is such a funny Dem-ism

At no point in my adult life have I ever rented an apartment with a kitchen big enough to accommodate a table for dining at. Only one of my friends (who lives with 4 other adults) rents a space big enough to keep a dining table in his kitchen, and I don't think I've ever seen him discuss issues at it!

I'm wanting to start delivering food because I enjoy driving. I've spent over a day reading about this now, and I'm seeing tons of posts from ~2 years ago suggesting GEICO will proactively drop you for Doordashing without commercial insurance.

This being said, I'm a bit confused - I drive a shitty car I don't care about. I carry state minimum liability-only insurance on my car, and Doordash provides seemingly the same liability coverage. If I get in an accident, I would think the claim would be filed on my Doordash policy and that would be the end of it.

I called GEICO and got an explanation that I'd need commercial coverage if I were trying to file a claim with them about a Doordash-related incident. But so long as I'm covered by Doordash and not routing my claims through GEICO, they said I'd be fine. This seems like it would be correct, but there's so much info to the contrary online that I wanted to ask here.

I drive a '91 convertible Geo Metro. Easily 45 MPG city, 50 if traffic is light. I live in Portland OR and I'm free basically every evening.

Sorry to ask such a basic question but I feel like the conventional wisdom on which services are preferable changes year to year.

I can't do Postmates, got deactivated back in 2018 for fucking up too many orders as a bike courier lol. My city's streets were not made for bike delivery.

I would also be curious to know whether the Postmates ban extends to UberEats after the merger if anyone knows.

Was thinking today about the early Brandon days when people were wholeheartedly convinced he'd take up the mantle of FDR 2.0.

On a long enough timeline, I'm so fucking glad he hated us enough to completely abandon student loan reform and anything Medicare-related. Imagine what the response to Gaza would've looked like under Brandon Delano Roosevelt. The treatlerite tendencies of this country are such that I am certain the general public would've ignored any amount of barbarity abroad so long as we got some scraps at home.

I'm not an accelerationist per se, but I think it's ultimately a good thing that our Dems hate us so fucking much that they ultimately won't do anything that would dampen the radicalization we're starting to see.
