Dont get why people think this.

Luffy has been smiling at every big foe he had beef with.

Namely: kizaru, moria, katakuri, buggy, kaido, doffy, … i think the list goes on.

Luffy kaido were not friends….same as hes not friends even when shortly joining forces with buggy and croco.

How do people jump to conclusions ?

there is nothing shown or said in the brief silhouette panel that gives me any indication about that.
