I want to fix a bunch of these faulty PS4 controllers, old DSs, Gameboys, etc. But every time I open them up I just realize I have no clue what the hell is going on in these boards. So I try to find the schematics, of course large companies are not eager to post their proprietary electronics schematics so my only option is usually fruitlessly googling any community built schematics. More often than not, these devices have several board revisions, and occasionally it's impossible to find the drawing for the right rev.

So my question is pretty self explanatory, how do you overcome this hurdle in this field of restoration and repair?
