Forecast explanation needed
The risk is low yet the cape is over 5600. Someone with an actual meteorological brain, please explain this to me. I thought I had a good grasp at the forecasting but I guess not.

Learn what a wedge actually is before you report a tornado. Wedge literally means it's wider at the base than it is tall. People constantly report a wedge just because the tornado is big. Just because it's large, doesn't make it a wedge. Especially the ones that are super duper wide at the top and tiny at the base. Those are called cones.
The pink TVS does not mean EF5! It means the tornado has winds of 140 mph or higher. Refer to an EF scale chart so you know the correct wind ranges for the different ratings.
If you measure winds in a tornado that are like 280 mph, that doesn't automatically make it an EF5. Remember, ratings are based on damage, not winds. So choose the language you use more properly when announcing things. Don't be surprised if you get corrected by someone after saying something stupid.
If you don't know who Reed Timmer or Sean Casey are, learn about them. Fast. They are our almighty high tornado GODS. We quote Reed all the time and you need to know the references. Fuck Olive Garden.
Stop saying F5 for the tornadoes in the game! The old Fujita scale hasn't been in official use since before 2007. We use EF! If you want to refer to the F scale, make sure you know what you're talking about first. The F and EF scales are vastly different from each other.
Have some patience with saving your money. It's not going to kill you to wait a couple more days to save for a dom 3 or tiv 2 as opposed to the lesser versions. It's just going to take you longer to get the better vehicles because of having to start all over with saving. Get the best version the first time!
If anyone has more tips that weren't already on part 1, comment them!
My doors seem to open on themselves and I don't know how to close them!! They seem to open and close all on their own. Wth is going on???? Mind you I'm playing on ps5. I hate that because it puts on the parking brake.
I didn't even get to make money off it😭😭😭 I drove into it south of Hazelton when it was a mile wide thinking I'll use it to slingshot me ahead of it so I can set up faster...if I survive. Once I was in it, I kept driving north, kept driving north. Drove all the way through Hazelton, all the way to the edge of the map and I was still in it!!! I never got to get out to set down probes. We were all in it for a good 5 minutes straight. One dude who was already up north ended up making 20k off it.
I was watching a documentary about the 1970 Lubbock F5 just now and it reminded me of something that seems like it shouldn't be. Texas has never had an EF5. Jarrell was the last tornado in that state rated a 5. Since the implementation of the EF scale in 2007, Texas has been in a drought. Historically, Texas always had lots of F4s and F5s. Not anymore I guess!
Tornadoes form in the hook of the thunderstorm, not where the yellow warning box is, or where all the red is on the radar.
Don't try to intercept a tornado as soon as it forms or fully condenses. Give it a little room to mature and strengthen. You're not going to make big money on a tornado when it's still weak. Don't be the one who always follows the tornado til it strengthens either. It could end up large, super strong and headed straight down the road you need to get past it to get into position. Try to stay ahead of the tornado til you're ready to deploy.
Keep constant watch of the radar, even when the tornado is closing in on you and you're close to deploying. Remember, a lot of times, a tornado will change directions just seconds before it reaches you. Check your radar about every 4 to 5 seconds in case of a last minute direction change.
Best ways to earn money early on. Save to get a scout. Either learn to get in the path or ride with a someone who has an interceptor. Always spawn your scout before riding with someone else so you can use the four probes.
If you don't want passengers or anyone stealing your whip, lock your doors! Locking your doors also has another convenient use. When you're driving on a road and you drive into someone, they automatically become a passenger as you're going by. This is inconvenient for someone who's maybe out of their vehicle putting down probes or picking them up, then suddenly they're getting whooshed away in someone's vehicle. When time is of the essence, this can screw up someone's chase. Lock your doors.
When everyone is parked in Prior Lake waiting for the day to begin, DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO SOMEONE ELSE'S!!! They're already in that spot, find your own spot. Doing this screws up the screen and is unbelievably irritating, obnoxious and inconsiderate.
Don't commit 100% to one tornado. Say you have one really good intercept on a strong tornado but now it's going into an area where it's going to take forever to reposition in front of it again. But hey look! There's another even larger tornado spawning two miles away. Let it go and start over for the next tornado. You're not sacrificing anything.
West side of the map is always better for chasing. Though you really want to go for wherever the largest tornado is at the time, as long as it's still strong.
If anyone else has good tips for noobs, leave them in the comments!
