Just finished season 100 solo. Actually enjoyed it.
I just wrapped up a surprisingly fun walk through season 100.
Yes there a lot of BBs and the ship selection is super limited so it’s a lot of the same every match but…I just leaned in to the carnage, ran mostly Warspite and Mutsu and practiced my shootin’.
Take a flank, commit early so you can get as much lateral space as possible, but don’t overcommit since sometimes teams will all go one way.
DD play can absolutely make the match but also…whatever. It was kind of fun to do some old school battleships slug fests. I certainly wouldn’t want to do it all day every day but it wasn’t nearly as painful as I expected it to be.
I wish there was just a touch more space between the spawns; Mutsu gets spotted hilariously early.
I will also fully acknowledge I got some pretty decent matchmaking luck. I’ve been in ranked purgatory before so I know how that can go but honestly I was pleasantly surprised that the majority of people on both teams actually came to play. Some blowouts each way but also a lot of very close matches.

76%, 21 matches (think I dropped maybe 2), 1917 xp, 95k damage, 5.8 KD, 1.4 kpm.
Good luck and fair seas - I know ranked has a bad wrap and I’m kind of tired of it myself in a lot of ways but this was way better than I expected it to be. Give it a try if you ever wanted to slug it out with a bunch of same tier BBs.
