APPLEWOOD SMOKED CHEDDAR & BACON DELUXE CHEESY POTATOES were a 7 out of 10 for me

I added a little bit of bacon bits and a handful of leftover shredded cheese into the mix. I was a lil surprised to see there were NO dried or imitation bacon bits at all in it and the only bacon element was artificial bacon flavoring. Oh well. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I got this about a month back on clearance in the aisle of shame, whimsy and wonder. I added the nutrition label and don’t need anyone to point out how unhealthy this is, thank you very much. 😊

🌟🥔🌟MY TIP FOR THESE: I always add an extra 1/4 cup of water to these boxed mix gratins and bake for an extra 10 to 15 minutes so the potatoes get properly soft, top extra browned, and so there’s a bit of a “sauce” element so it isn’t as dry. Plus it helps pull back the saltiness a bit.

It was good. I think I like the regular ones better though.

Has anyone else tried this?

Someone in this sub deserves to own & wear this shirt.

Found while I was scrolling on the Depop app. I edited out the name of the seller (I’m not the seller). I hope this is allowed. It would be so whimsical to wear as a professional pianist in my opinion.

Scenic Spring sights everywhere you looked like straight out of a children’s picture book. Some of the lilac bushes are starting to bloom along with many other magnificent flowers, trees, and plant life.

It was honestly so heartwarming to experience. There were many loving couples, friends and families holding hands, sharing benches, taking strolls. So many beautiful cheery dog breeds alongside their smiling owners. Children laughing & playing, people picnicking together & sunbathing on blankets enjoying themselves, studying, listening to music, drawing, eating lunch, etc. There were birds singing, butterflies, bumblebees and woodland creatures to spot as they went about their spring day duties. The weather was perfect and the air smelled fresh & sweet everywhere you went. Warm with soft and steady spring breezes. The park was alive, beautiful, and teeming with life without being crowded. Just amazing.

I wish I took more photos. The tulips were so vibrant they looked like giant paint brushes saturated with colors bursting from their soil beds. 🌷🖌️🎨 Of course a painter amongst the tulips had set up an easel inspired by the blooming trees nearby.

We are so lucky to have Highland Park. Especially on spring days like yesterday. ☀️ sigh.
