I had a small chip in my tooth repaired yesterday, and the composite randomly started flaking off the front of my tooth just from eating a soft sandwich, nothing hard in it, 5 hours after the repair. I've read that could be caused by moisture or something getting in during the process?

My dentist isn't in until Monday, only hygienists are in until noon. Is it likely safe to wait that long, or should I be trying to get into another office today or tomorrow (there is a practice near me open until 5 Fridays, 3 Saturdays)

I would just hate to pay at another practice if this may have just been applied incorrectly since it came off so easily without biting down hard into anything?

First photo is it now, second is from before the repair. The flaking off is on the opposite side of where the actual chipped tooth was.

I'm 33, no major dental issues in the past before the chip and a gum graft years ago.
