France short stay visa {business/researcher] requirement
Hello All,
I plan to apply for a short stay (business /researcher) visa (France) as I have been invited by a university to conduct research for around a month.
I checked the visa wizard and it shows that I need , in addition to my passport, photo, proof of residence, the following document:
Purpose of travel/stay
- Original of the agreement to host a researcher or teacher-researcher ("Convention d'accueil") issued by an accredited organization, duly signed by both parties.
Is the hosting agreement signed by my university and the hosting university enough? or do I have to ask the hosting university to apply for Convention d'accueil through the Prefecture and send it to me in addition to the hosting agreement?
I checked with the hosting university and they haven't experienced this before (they usually do Convention d'accueil for PhD students who require long-stay visas)
I would really appreciate your help if you have an experience with this as securing a tourist appointment is nearly impossible with TLS.
Thanks a lot.
