Not theory.
Not random “Top Freelance Skills” TikToks.
Actual OLJ data.
Some things that surprised me:
- Video Editing is almost catching up to VA jobs
- “AI Tools” is now one of the most requested skills
- Shopify & GoHighLevel skills can instantly increase your value
- Sales roles are quietly one of the fastest ways out of the $5/hr range
- General VAs are getting overcrowded fast
The biggest thing I noticed:
The freelancers getting replies aren’t just hardworking.
They’re specific.
Instead of:

How I landed 2 clients in the past 30 days sa OLJ
Share ko lang kasi baka may makatulong lalo na sa mga pagod na kakapply araw araw sa OnlineJobs.ph
Last month halos wala talaga ako nakukuha.
Apply lang nang apply tapos minsan walang reply.
Then nitong last 30 days, naka land ako ng 2 clients.
Hindi naman crazy high income agad or “6 figures overnight” na nakikita minsan online hahaha. Pero sobrang laking tulong narin sakin honestly.
Mga napansin ko lang:
• sobrang importante maaga ka mag apply
especially sa mga bagong post palang na jobs para maunahan mo agad ibang applicants
• wag apply sa lahat
dati kahit sobrang lowball inaapplyan ko parin kasi desperado ako lol
ngayon mas namimili narin ako kahit papano
• mas okay short and direct na cover letter
yung hindi sobrang haba na halatang copy paste
• minsan wala talaga sa perfect english
nag kaka mental block parin ako minsan sa interviews HAHAHA
pero parang mas importante sakanila if maayos ka kausap and mukhang willing matuto
Honestly isa sa biggest help sakin lately yung mas napabilis yung pag apply ko.
Instead na refresh ako nang refresh sa OLJ buong araw, gumagamit nako ng Jobzing for instant alerts + mas mabilis na filtering ng jobs.
Hindi siya magic tool na automatic hired ka agad
pero malaking tulong talaga lalo na pag gusto mo mauna mag apply.
Ayun lang.
Apply lang talaga nang apply kahit nakaka drain minsan.
