The product page showed the sunscreen price as around ₹230. During checkout, after including all charges, I paid ₹238 in total. At that point, everything seemed normal.

But after receiving the product, I downloaded the GST invoice from the seller and noticed that the invoice mentions the final product value as only ₹168. That surprised me because the product was clearly listed and sold to me at ₹230.

Then I checked Flipkart’s digital invoice/order breakup and saw some additional “GT charges” added separately. The problem is that these charges were not clearly visible or explained in a transparent way before payment.

Now I’m genuinely confused about how this pricing works.

If the seller invoice says the product itself is worth ₹168, then:

• Why was the product listed at ₹230?
• What exactly are these GT charges?
• Why are they separated from the product invoice?
• Is Flipkart adding platform/service charges outside the seller invoice?
• Is this legally and GST compliant?

I understand that platforms may add handling or platform fees, but the mismatch between the displayed selling price and the GST invoice value feels misleading to me.

Has anyone else experienced this recently on Flipkart or other e-commerce apps? Would appreciate if someone familiar with GST invoicing or marketplace pricing could explain whether this is normal or not.
