Bagel rankings from east coast-transplants?

Calling all bagel snobs. I want to hear from east coast transplants specifically but of course anyone may comment, especially if they feel they’ve done their homework. Let’s clear out for the self-proclaimed experts.

I don’t want to discuss sandwiches here. Let’s keep things narrow — bagels ands/or cream cheese talk only.

I’m currently doing my homework…. But I’m no authority. I’ve been to NYC once a decade ago and I think every bagel I ate had bacon, egg, and cheese between it.

And…. Please, let’s leave Courage out of this. I’ll admit I quite like their bagels, but fully accept they’re too large of a stylistic departure from the norm. Feels like they’re kind of playing in their own sandbox off to the side.

So far in LA I’ve tried Hank’s, Belle’s, Maury’s, Wake & Late (rip and dip style FWIW) and Layla’s — and recently checked out H&H’s new location in Echo Park. Some of the sweetest/maltiest I’ve had here in LA, for what it’s worth.

They all feel so different and I feel like I need to do another round to start developing strong feelings and preferences.

I’d like to try Boichik, C&H, Pops, and Mustard’s (though I be heard they’re in the Courage zone).

How do they compare? Anywhere else I haven’t mentioned?

Anyone have a strong opinion?

Dying to get some informed opinions on the topics.

Purchased a used 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser and regret the decision. What's the best way to sell and not lose too much money?

Longtime Toyota Rav4 owner here. My wife's Prius finally kicked the can, so I had the idea to gift her my paid off 2015 Rav4 so I could get a new work car -- and picked up a used 2025 Land Cruiser base trim in white. I felt like it was a good idea since it qualifies for a tax write off for work because of its weight and because cars like this generally keep their value when maintained well (am I wrong?).

I enjoy driving the car, and there is nothing wrong with it per se, but I don't think it's a great fit. It doesn't totally fit my personality. It's a little too large, a little too tall, and a little too expensive. Frankly, I don't like the feeling of driving such a new, expensive car. I can afford it but I don't think it's the best use of the money and I probably should have just kept my Rav4 since it drives great and has no issues except for just showing it's age a little -- occasionally as a client facing vehicle. My wife had other options and I should have just let her explore them. I also just wish I'd waited for a plug-in hybrid version of something else in the near or distant future. That's my preferred hybrid style.

I purchased it from a Toyota dealer.

What should I do? Am I crazy to try sell it back? Will I lose a ton of money? Or is there a better option for listing the car myself to another buyer?

I'm in Los Angeles. Curious what people's thoughts are on the best way to move forward.

Thanks.

ISO 1x ticket: 6/1 Man Who Wasn't There @ The Aero

If a ticket shakes loose, I'd love to buy it. Trying to re-watch even Coen Bros. film in theaters. Had a blast seeing Hudsucker last year at The Aero...

DM me. Thank you!
