To the point; I’m getting gems for my partners engagement ring and have run into a slight issue; the site I’m trying to source my rocks from doesn’t have the cut I want and doesn’t do custom cuts (they also sell/have roughs so I was hoping they would but alas no.) So the ones I’m getting are Ti:Sapphires (idk specific composition) and some others I’ve found that are similar in appearance are “Al2O3”; I’ve never worked with gems but I keep reading about “refractives” and “color shifts” so I’m getting a bit over my head…any advice/help y’all?
