Hi, 28m just trying to get my thoughts out and why exactly I’m still seeing the symptoms that I still have.

Long story short I got my first fissure jan 2025. I wiped too hard while pushing and I gave myself a small fissure. Had about 3 weeks of uncomfortable displeasure doing daily activities, had constant but a small amount of yellowish discharge. By week 4 it basically stopped and I was back to normal.

Fast forward to dec 2025 I did the really dumb thing of pushing and wiping again after a bowel movement and gave myself another fissure. Can’t believe i did that again. This time symptoms have been abnormally different. This has been constant for me since dec 2025.

-I don’t have discomfort all day UNLESS it’s the first hour or two after a bowel movement.
-I have discharge only after a bowel movement but it seems like it’s usually a mixture of fecal matter (which is different than the first time) and yellowish discharge that I had the first time.

^^^sometimes after a good bowel movement I will hardly have any discomfort or discharge so the level changes. I could have a week of great bowel movements with hardly any discharge and then I have one that causes me a little more discomfort and more discharge. Even if the BM is soft and I don’t strain I can still have more discharge or discomfort.

In jan 2026 I saw a specialist. She prescribed me cream, after this I went hard into changing my diet and getting my fiber up and also drinking enough water. I wipe differently now. I take sitz baths. I use a stool when I am having a BM.

In March 2026 I had a follow up visit with the specialist and she said the small fissure was healed based on what she saw BUT she did say that there could still be healing that needed to be done to stop the discharge.

It’s May 2026 and I am still having some discomfort and discharge after certain bowel movements.

I’m super grateful that basically 2-3 hours after a bowel movement even on the worst day I’m back to normal (no discharge no discomfort) I just don’t understand why I’m still having discharge sometimes. If the fissure is healed and theoretically I have not re tore it as I take tons of precaution wiping now shouldn’t the discharge stop? My specialist did not think I had anything more serious than what I had (she did not take a camera inside just visually looked from outside) but I am just trying to look for an answer. Could it be that my anal muscles are spasming and not closing my rectal muscles sometimes after a BM. Just not sure what to do going forward to fix this symptom.
