Vehicle:2004 Mustang v6 3.8ℓ

I found this hole in my intake hose while replace it to clean throttle valve. When I checked, there should be a hose attached here, but there isn't one. I have no idea when the hose went missing, it could be since i bought this car.

And my car has little problem,(The engine brake doesn't work at all, i think IAC/EGR/TPS's problem?) Is this hole the cause of the problem? Either way, I intend to plug this hole.
