Hi, I’m part of a small indie team working on a card game called Grid Tactics.

We Join The Deck Builders Fest On Steam

The core idea is that the battlefield is a full 8×8 grid instead of lanes. You place cards on the board, and everything resolves at the end of the turn, so positioning creates chain reactions across the board.

The game currently has:
- 4 factions with different playstyles
- 200+ collectible cards
- a deckbuilding system focused on synergies
- a solo campaign mode for learning the mechanics

One thing I’m still experimenting with is how players understand complex interactions. I added an in-game replay system where you can review how each turn resolves, but I’m not sure if that actually helps or if it still feels overwhelming.

The game is in Early Access and free to play on Steam:

For people who play card games:
Do you think a full-board system like this adds meaningful strategy?
And do replay/analysis tools matter to you, or do you mostly learn by playing?
