Hello, I tore my meniscus on the job, had surgery, and reached MMI about 4 months ago. I was out of work for a little over a year. I went for my impairment rating and received a 3% which to me seems super low. My knee gives out, cracks all the time, limited range of motion, I can’t do the same workouts like run or even squats, and I have permanent restrictions at work as I am a mail carrier. He also stated in his paperwork that he thinks I would qualify for permanent disability, it just has me confused if he thinks I qualify to be put on permanent disability how would my impairment rating be so low? Is there a way for me to get a second opinion for a rating or do I just have to be ok with what first doctor gave me? Thanks
