I love this trope both because it establishes the villain as way more successful and competent and also, depending on the context, can be funny, intimidating, cool, or all of them at once.
Examples are:
Batman Beyond: After Terry says that Blight killed his father, Blight says this.
Skywalker Strikes, Part II: Luke confronts Vader, and he's mad at Vader for killing his father; Vader has killed many though. Knowing who the father actually is, this scene is a bit funnier.
Guardians of the Galaxy: A bit more different than the other two as it's more used as a threat. Ronan is beating up Drax at this point, and him not recalling killing Drax's family is to lead up to him saying he wouldn't remember killing Drax either.
Verstappen has more or less dominated "who was the best driver" conversations since 2021. However, with the way the season has gone so far, do you think it is different, and will it stay that way by the end of the year?
Prior to the race, I would've considered Leclerc to be the best driver so far, but now, it's most likely Norris.
