Palantir employees are finally saying out loud what a lot of us have been side-eyeing: the company’s direction feels off. After Karp’s manifesto rejecting pluralism and framing certain cultures as “regressive,” internal Slack is lighting up with discomfort. People who used to quietly collect the paycheck are now asking each other if they’re “tracking Palantir’s descent into fascism.”

The work itself hasn’t changed... PLTR still powers ICE deportation tools and the Maven targeting system the military uses. Some of that kit has been linked to strikes in the current Iran mess. Revenue is still mostly government, so the contract gravy train isn’t stopping. But recruitment is getting harder and sales pitches outside the US are tougher when your CEO is this explicit.

I’ve followed the stock since the direct listing. The valuation always baked in “indispensable to national security.” That narrative is cracking internally even if the numbers haven’t. If more engineers walk or customers get spooked, the multiple compresses fast.

Still holding or rotating into less controversial gov-tech names?
