Apparently if its shiny it wont count for the special quests
Been stuck with the "A thousand-Year Slumber" quest for a month now because of the lack of Whismurs in my area (and lack of feebas for farming candy).
Today a Whismur popped up thanks to the daily incense, and turned out to be a Shiny (Great! New pokedex entry!) Buuut somehow it did not count for completing that part of the quest. I fount this bug interesting.
