AITA for answering a question?
My girlfriend asked if we could talk and mentioned it would be good for us to mention anything we’d like the other person to do or something g the other person does that might upset us etc.
One thing I mention was I’d like my gfto take an interest in my interests as I do with hers. For example when she’s playing on the Nintendo switch, while the games she plays aren’t my type of games, I’ll ask questions and watch her play. The same when she’s talking about music artists I have no interest in.
When it comes to me though she doesn’t seem to do this when I game or talk about movies, games or books I like. I mentioned it would be nice if she could watch me play occasionally and ask questions and take an interest in games I’m currently playing through, the same with when I’m talking about movies or books etc.
She said I shouldn’t expect her to like everything I like but I pointed out that’s not what I was asking. She said I was expecting too much and shouldn’t expect her to sit and watch games she doesn’t like and ask questions etc on them. I pointed out it’s just what I do for her but she brushed it off and just said it was too much and I shouldn’t be asking her. I pointed out that’s not all I was asking and she brushed it off again,
When. I pointed out it would mean a lot to me she said I was guilt tripping her and should drop it,
