About to begin court hearings to get child access arrangements for 15 month old.

Previously the mother stated I used cannabis, she doesn’t know I’ve been prescribed for the last 8 months so when this was mentioned by the worker I said it was medically prescribed for my condition.

I’ve been since asked to provide a gp letter confirming my prescription.

As I know GPs don’t always take the most care in how they list MC on records and the last thing I need is a random GP’s outdated opinion being taken as gospel when both professionals lack knowledge on MC.

Should I skip this and just get the clinic to do it? Could they write the letter for court themselves and could they also write me a letter for the gp separately in terms of listing it on my record in general?

What’s the advice on how I approach this?

Please help, thanks guys.

This is a delicate situation, there’s alot that’s gone on and I don’t truly feel comfortable with another professional I’ve never met having such power over potential outcomes, especially since I’ve heard GPs don’t always frame MC as truly valid.
