I have a aftermarket extended warranty on my 2008 Lexus Is350 with 99, 000 miles on it .

I took it out of storage yesterday and at the stoplight the tranny sort of slipped , but nothing came up on the screen and thermostat didn't move , nothing at all for warning signs .

I drove it 5 miles to my house and it died in my driveway . The coolant dumped out of it as I had it pushed into my garage by hand . That's never a good sign. My neighbor mechanic came over and looked at it , after 5 minutes he could tell the timing chain had snapped and it overheated, bent the push rods , which from what I understand , the engine is shot . Never a warning light ,car has been serviced , oil changes, regular maintenance things it's ever needed , never driven in winter , it's absolutely gorgeous inside and out . Now it's shot . Breaks my heart. But I do have an extended warranty from triple A . My question is. It seems to easy ,to good to be true, so what am I missing? How are they going to find a loophole to get out of putting in a new engine ? Thank you so much for all your help in advance.
