Fat guy (5'11" 285lb, broad frame w/ big belly) here interesting in getting into the sport. I lift pretty regularly and can slog through a mile jogging or 30 on a bike. I've seen some people on here posting some pretty expansive routines, so, as a general question, how fit should I be before trying this out proper? stuff like, cardio goals, weight goals, etc.

Just trying not to embarrass myself lol, any info is appreciated, even if it's just you sharing your routine.
