/uj Ren's pfp art created by me. Ren is an Almian Ranger whose partner Pokemon is Zipper, or Zipps for short, a shiny Banette whom he rescued when he was first starting his ranger work study. He has since dedicated his life and work to rescuing shiny pokemon. He detests the term "Shiny hunter" but that is the term designated upon him by other people.

How do I fix a switch 1's inability to read game cards and its broken touchscreen?

The switch is on versiom 22.1.0 currently. The touchscreen doesn't work, however it may be due to the screen protector.

The old game card reader didn't read any game cards, to the point of not even registering when one was inserted. I've replaced the game card reader with one that I bought to repair this switch with, but now it registers some game cards but can't read them and doesn't register others. I've tried game cards that I know for a fact work, and still.

I've checked the connections, I've checked the screws, I've checked everything I can think of. It doesn't seem to be an issue with the new reader nor the game cards nor the software.

Could this be a motherboard issue or could it be something else I've yet to consider?

/uj For context, Ducky is a Lumiosian ghost specialist and his party consists of Noose the Chandelure, Winston the Roaming Gimmighoul (on his shoulder), Patch the shiny Mimikyu, Mach the Drakloak, Dart the Dreepy (the Dreepy on Mach's head), and Quill the Decidueye.

Winston is learning how to speak and type. They're claustrophobic, which is why they don't have a chest. They have no desire to evolve. Also, the new display name WinstonHyphenDesk is an inside joke between me and u/Articuno_2359 lol

Zipps is a shiny Banette, the partner Pokemon of Ranger Ren. Zipps is able to speak because he grew up with Ren, and this ability helps Ren's ranger work.

Swordsy and ShadowArrow are in Arti's party, a Gallade and Decidueye respectively. They were mentioned with permission from u/Articuno_2359, with whom this storyline is in collaboration.
